10 ways white folks should celebrate Black History month

Celebrate the Black community in America this month, and really we should never stop celebrating the wealth of history, knowledge, and contributions that Black people have given to the world. As white people we still have much progress to make and a lot to learn, but here are some simple ways to start.   1. Educate yourself about Black history and the contributions of Black individuals to society.
  2. Read books, watch films, and attend events that showcase Black culture and history.
  3. Support Black-owned businesses.
  4. Listen to Black voices and amplify them.
  5. Donate to organizations that support the Black community.
  6. Participate in cultural events and celebrations.
  7. Learn about the ongoing struggles for racial justice and equality, and take actions to support these causes.
  8. Engage in open and honest conversations about race and racism.
  9. Seek out diverse perspectives and challenge your own biases.
  10. Reflect on your own privilege and work to become better allies to the Black community.

These are but a few ways to enrich yourself by growing in your appreciation of the Black community as we all celebrate together.
